Application Process
Joining the Pleasant Hill / Martinez Ruck Club is simple. Start by submitting a short application so we can get to know you and make sure the club is a good fit. Once approved, you’ll receive details on upcoming rucks and how to join our Strava club to track your miles. From there, just show up, carry what feels right, and start putting in the work.

Step 1: Are You a Fit?
Before applying, please make sure the PHM Ruck Club is a good fit for you.
The PHM Ruck Club is:
A dad-focused ruck club
At its core, its has two goals
Give you a place to improve your fitness
Brings dads together to hang out
A space where the only competition is with yourself
Mostly dads-only rucks, with clearly labeled family rucks
Self-paced and self-regulated — you carry what feels right
Focused on consistency over performance
Primarily Rucking - with some ruck fitness inspired workouts
A club where full membership and the patch are earned after 10 rucks
Please ensure you are healthy enough to participate and comfortable taking responsibility for your own limits on the trail.
The PHM Ruck Club is not:
A gym, CrossFit, or military-style bootcamp
A coached or instructed fitness program
Led by trainers, coaches, or formally trained staff
trying to sell you anything
A competitive or performance-driven environment
A place for negativity or judgment in regards to someones fitness or ability
Liable for your health or safety.
